GLOBE (Global Leadership and Organizational Behaviour Effectiveness) was designed to make the exploration of the cultural nuances on a larger scale. It is developed as an ongoing culture theory paradigm. GLOBE study factors in nine major cultural dimensions. They are Uncertainty Avoidance, and collectivism is expanded into Institutional Collectivism, In-Group Collectivism, Power Distance, Gender Egalitarianism is the extension of the masculinity and the felinity factor, Assertiveness of the individuals, Future Orientation, Performance Orientation, and Humane or people Orientation. The cultural dimensions are further divided into practices and the values (Kim, Cable and Kim, 2005).
The values and the practices serve to be differentiated into the societies and the organizations, values and the practices are developed for unique variance and the scope of the values or the practices are to be meaningfully applied in both the level. On applying the GLOBE model as a formula on UK and China, the following analysis has been made. It was found that the assertiveness factors, institutional collectivism, group collectivism, and uncertainty avoidance were high in the workers. These factors were significantly lower in the UK employees. Gender Egalitarianism and performance orientation of the individuals were significantly higher in the UK. China was found to be the lower side on these factors. The future orientation was given a generally higher score for China. On the other hand, the assertiveness factors for China were found to be higher.
