Change is the most necessary process in a business organisation as well as in an individual professional. Upgrading, alteration, replacement and remodelling are the few facets of change management. I work in a retail company. It recently has completed the process of change management in the entire organisation by moving focus from customers to employees in order to minimize the rate of employee retention every year. The company I work for is Tesco Superstore and I am the junior HR at the Bristol store. The Bristol store was facing tremendous employee turnover and the management asked for a suggestion to the HR team for an immediate solution to this problem. We recommended making a change in the organisational orientation. Therefore, the managerial authority granted our proposal and hired an external party to implement the change management. The very process impacted me both advantageously and disadvantageously. Moreover, the process helped me to ruminate on my future career plans. Before that, I evaluated my own professional performance through SWOT analysis in the context of the change management at Tesco Superstore in Bristol.
