In this research paper the discussion has been done on the gender gaps in terms of wages which may be faced by the private sector in Canadian province. In order to do the research the data has been used from the Canadian Labour force survey. In the time period from 1997 to 2014, each and every province had made significant progress towards the process of narrowing the gender wage gap with the help of little progress has been made in the province. Also, the result of decomposition in a large number of areas has led to the manifestation that the wage gap in each province is affected by the gender difference in the industry and the occupation. The difference in the wage gap has been reduced in many areas and occupation has also played a significant role in the same.
In the past, there has been a complete existence of the gender wage gap in Canada. The complete review of the same has been provided by Gunderson (2006) on the evidence which was related to the differences between the male and female wage gap and the extent to which it led to discrimination. In the recent times, it has been observed that there has been a complete review of the existence related to the wage difference in Canada. One of the important parts of the research is that in the recent times, there has been an identification of the moderate progress in the wage gap trends in the recent times (Blau, 2013). Though, there has been a proportion of the gap which hasn’t been explained yet or it can’t be accounted because of the differences in the productive characteristics of men and women. In order to explain the existence of the gender equities in terms of wages, the research has been done on the provinces where there are higher numbers of public sector works.
Thus, in this research paper, there has been a comparative analysis of the gender wage gap which may be faced by the full time employees in the provinces in Canada and the factors which have been responsible for the gender wage gap during this period. In order to do the same the research has been conducted in Canadian provinces. It has been observed that there has been a multitude of industries in Canada where the men are paid higher and they have been working the higher positions in comparison to women (Cohen, 2012). The men have been observed to work in some of the fields such as technology, which has been experienced in the wages recently. The factor which may have contributed to the gender wage gap analysis has been identified. Women have been observed to be enrolled much more in some of the areas in Delhi. In order to conduct the research the two different perspectives have been identified. The argument related to some of the researchers that the gender wage gap has been causes by the number of hours and attention that the women and men give to the job has been considered. On the other hand, the employees who have preferred to hire men over women have been idealized.
On the basis of the research analysis the data related to the wage outcomes and the characteristics related to men and women has been analyzed. Further, there has been an analysis of the gander wage cap. From the research the results related to the wage gap and gender differences have been explained in industry and occupation.
