Recreational activities are the activities that people are involved in, the leisure time and the time bracket that people spend doing something that they like. There is a difference between the two. When one is talking about the quality of life in this case, one refers to the quality of life that the tourists have, while their recreational activities include time or that they travel in their leisure time. Travelling enriches the life of the person and overall improves the quality of life of a person (Neal, 1999). This can be safely said because firstly the tourists gain rich and incomparable experiences when they are travelling.
Seeing new places, things and people give a positive insight which is definitely an improvement in the mundane life. Secondly, when people are indulging themselves in travel oriented activities people tend to be happier. Thirdly, people when travelling in their leisure time relaxes, socialize, and participate in more activities which overall satisfies their need as humans needing a break from the everyday life. It also enhances their experiences in all ways. Lastly, travelling as an activity is never a waste of time therefore can be part of the recreational activities or a part of the leisure time for positive experience thus improving the quality of life.
