However, Zhuangzi instead of getting agitated about the ruthless assumptions that he had no affection and love for his late wife, very patiently and politely tells the man that he loved his wife dearly and he has misinterpreted his feelings for her. He then narrates that at first when she dies, he was equally hurt and devastated like everyone else, but later he thought about the time when she did not even exist in the world, a time that precluded her very existence. Before she came to life, she had no distinct form, no body and most possibly even a spirit. The enigma of soulful existence led to her marvellous spirited creation and she came to life with a distinct form and distinct body. Changes are the only constant thing in life, and she has only changed her form of body as she died. Birth and Death are two very natural and organic elements of life cycle, there is nothing to bemoan a death , it is only obvious that all mortals souls would eventually come to an end someday or another. Just like the changing seasons, every winter is followed by spring; similarly death is inevitable and a bitter truth of life which we find difficult to accept and move on.
