Fossil fuels, as the conventional energy resource, play an important role in our daily life. While in the following 50 years, human beings have not realized the importance of fossil fuels and used up most of them. 50 years later, they will not be able to use this kind of energy as fuels anymore because there isn’t any left for them. More and more people prefer to go out by their cars rather than by bus for the reason that they hold the idea of private car is a symbol of quality life. Nowadays, more cars mean more energy consumption. Exploring for renewable energy in order to take place of conventional energy resources has become a wise choice. Perhaps the best solution to the increasing energy demand comes from The Union of Concerned Scientists. There is no any single solution can meet our society’s future energy needs. The solution instead should come from the development of various energy technologies that share a common thread — they should neither deplete our natural resources nor destroy our environment (Eric McLamb, 2011).”
In the year of 2063, people lived in the coastal areas would like to make use of tidal energy by machines as the renewable energy and it also help us reduce the sea level. Thanks to that the 70 percent of the Earth surface is covered by water and available tidal energy is enormous. The transportation will use electricity as fuel which is provided by tidal energy instead of oil in order to cut the carbon dioxide emission. The US Department of Energy once reported that if the global consumption of renewable energy sources remains the scale it is now, the world’s available fossil fuel resources will be used up in 104 years or early in the 22nd century. The experts said that if people can make use of 10 percent of tidal energy to generate electricity, it would be of significant importance to the whole world’s energy supply.
