Tesco is believed to employ more than 45,000 people around the world and thus provide job opportunities to large number of people. The company mainly emphasizes on providing best retailing services to the customers at reduced prices. This is achieved through creating value for money to achieve customer’s loyalty and by meeting the needs and requirements of the customers. Tesco provides mainly food products but recently has diversified its services and provides banking, online shopping and insurance service to the customers as well. The main competitors of Tesco are Wal-Mart and Sainsbury that present an intense competition for Tesco in the global retail market (Findlay, 2002).
