Organizational performance may be defined as the actual output of the actual results which have been measured in an organization against the intended results. Thus, it can be defined as the analysis of the performance by a company in comparison to the set goals and the objectives achieved. In organizational performance three basic things includes, measurement of the financial performance, market performance and the shareholder value performance. In addition to this the production capacity is also the part of the organizational performance. In order to have a good organizational performance it is necessary to have a good Decision Making process. Decision Support System can play a major role in the same. In the recent years it has been observed that the organizations have been much more sophisticated and it is tough to encompass several performance measures efficiently. Decision Support Systems helps to achieve the same. In this paper we would be studying that how DSSs can enhance the organizational performance by improving the DM’s process. This is possible because the DSS’s helps to develop and stimulate the scenarios which helps in efficient decision making leading to improve the decision making capabilities and thereby the organizational performance. In addition, it also helps to measures the risks which are important to analyze in order to improve the performance of the organization.
