“Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal that marked your transition from childhood to adulthood within your culture, community, or family”.
Growing up the world seemed to be a place where everyone was given rules to follow. Some of the rules seemingly make no real sense. There was a significant divide among the people and different socio-economic groups who were all following some form of routine. Until I discovered my passion towards robotics and technology, the world seemed to a dull place. I realized from the experience at FRC that the world can be monotonous space when we choose to follow routines without any passions.
While growing up the changing dynamics of technology fascinated me in an otherwise mundane world. The growing changes in the technology brighten my vision for the future. I am also aware that there are people in many nations without basic comforts for survival. I believe that by the use of technology, I can reach out and help the people who do not have these basic facilities. Innovative low-cost technology can help people garner the basic necessities. It is for this reason that I want to be a mechanical engineer. I want to contribute towards the society by the use of technology. This cannot be an individual effort, and it should be a team. I want to be the light having the passion that inspires others to work towards creation of a better future. That is why I want to be a professor who shares their knowledge and creates brighter society for all the people.
