The music played by the orchestra takes back to Classical era. It has a light and clear texture. However, the flow of music displayed a high degree of grace. There is also a proper balance of the phrase structure. It had a combination of regular and irregular phrases that insisted clarity to music played by community choir. With about 4 instruments, the music did justice to the entire show and its audience. The attractive part of the music is the style which had a good flow and flexibility. The specialty of this music includes dynamics, tempo, rhythms, keys and mood. Throughout the show, the same flow of music retained.
At the first instance of the music, the religious works of Mozart and Haydn displayed good balance between modern and traditional forms of composition. In general, the sacred music played in church remains less unique (Yeh et al, 2010). Nevertheless, this form of opera with orchestral accompaniments added value to the entire show. At various instances, different forms of styles were also noticed.
The vocal had categories like tutti and solos. However, chorus sung majority of the materials. Three styles noticed in the initial sound of orchestra – cantabile, homophonic and imitative. This is for both instruments and voices. It was homophonic at a majority of the cases. The dynamics associated with the sound is identified based on text and texture. At certain cases, there were special markings when the orchestra changed its sounds to different tones. Still, it is imitative and easy to reproduce. The accompaniments were not hard by nature. They coincided well with each other and possible to locate them in the score. The overall dynamic range of this performance is melody and the flexible tones portrayed the talented work of voice artist (or chorus) and this is the best part of the performance.
The keys of the chorus displayed the regular harmonic outline and the modulations varied largely to suit the scenario (Yeh et al., 2010). In the middle of the performance during sanctus, there was a sudden suspension. Towards the end, the anticipation only increased among the audience. The melodic devices identified in the performance were general to understand and repeat. Each voice in the orchestra had good modulation and range which is astonishing. They set good harmonies with the orchestration that ensured double benefits to the output of the overall performance. It was a soothing melody that everyone liked. The only issue found is that the lower notes were not audible and unclear. Most of such notes were omitted and audience found it harder to understand the flow.
