Godwin-Jones (2011) states that the confusion that comes with selecting an application for learning which cannot be actually counted as a problem. In terms of traditional methods, a smaller portion of the participants believed that using traditional methods is inconvenient. About 11 percent though the traditional method to be false, whereas majority i.e. 41 percent believed that the traditional methods carry more accuracy. Therefore, despite the fact that more of the participants preferred using mobile technologies of language learning, most of them believed that it is not accurate as compared to traditional methods. Therefore, though the mobile technologies could add to their sources for the purpose of learning, but it does not serve as the main source.
Regarding the use and the value of the mobile technologies, majority among the participants pointed out that the ease of accessibility of the mobile technologies serve as the key value adding point. It is the key point or reason for which the use of mobile technologies is preferred. Liu et al (2014) points out that it is the speed and the learning efficiency that is increased with using mobile technologies. It was 48.39 percent of the participants who when asked said that using mobile technology would be preferred because they are quick and convenient. Other choices of preferences also came up in the research where participants believed that they are preferred because they are the new fashion, trend, and they allow addressing more questions.
Coming to traditional learning means for language, people believed that the methods are more enjoyable and direct. This is one of the key aspects that need consideration. The use of the mobile technologies is just a part of the process and not to obtain results. However, being part of the process makes them an advantage for the user when it comes to learning language. Various efforts have been carried out by British Council for the purpose of promoting the learning of English language. The number of people using application and technologies for fun activities has increased a lot. As the traditional methods are now being construed as monotonous and boring, using the new technologies and applications could be expected to benefit. Mix use of traditional methods and technologies guarantees better options. Various features are present in application technologies that make them fun.
