During the interview, I observed him talking about the related topics that have influenced ethical correctness of organization. After the interview, I understood that engineering ethics can have an effect on the culture and diversity of the organization. Soon after the research work got over, there were several things that I observed – employee working standards, ethics and leadership and ethics in multicultural environment. Engineering ethics, from my previous research, was all about working with truthfulness to practice operations in a dedicated and productive manner to enhance the organizational outcomes (Kirkman 2017). However, talking with the practical engineer has brought the understanding that ethics brings uniformity in policies and consciousness in assuring social good.
The field of engineering ethics overlaps with decision making of an organization. Engineering failures happen when there are ethical issues. Though the regulations differ from one organization to the other, it is important to set the obligations meant for social good and eliminate ethical dilemmas. The related topics to engineering ethics will include decision making, multicultural employee management and organization behaviour. The behaviour of employees in an organization is generally influenced by opportunities, teamwork, economics and community. This is a factor of sustainability.
