The company also aimed to welcome 787s in their fleet and make investment in 12 A350s by the year 2019 so that environmental degradation is prevented and sustainable development is followed. However, the lack of clarity in the carbon reduction projects of Virgin Atlantic has been criticized and termed as green wash.
