It is identified from the United National Environment Program’s (UNEP) report that approximately 90% e-waste is traded and dumped illegally. The disposal of e-waste is relatively new concern due to which the most of the developing nations does not have any legislations or protocols on control of e-waste dumping yet. There has been emergence of black market consisting of illegal traffickers acting as delivering disposal services of legitimate nature and dumps e-waste in tons to the random regions in developing nations (Herat et al., 2015). This uncontrolled practice has resulted in elevated environmental risks from the internal electronics components. Hence, it results in impacting the entire world adversely. The pollution of air, water and soil is being increased along with higher information security risks and human exploitation.

Various processing plants of e-waste are not safely operated due to which various traffickers’ burn the computer wires openly to obtain the inner copper. The burning of open nature releases hydrocarbons in the environment polluting the air while the gold-plated chips having chemical stripping resulted in brominated dioxins and heavy metals emissions (Farrelly et al., 2014). This is confirmed by the latest environmental effects study conducted of the largest landfill of e-waste in Guiyu, China wherein it was found that airborne dioxins are increased to 100 times more than measure in the past.
