The needs of the organization must be developed on a dynamic basis. The design of the information system must fit into the business requirement and it must satisfy the needs of the subsystems. The variability in the context must mean that the platforms and the software configuration might differ. Nevertheless, the outcomes within the industries can result in positive results. Added to this, the management style needs to differ by organization. Contingency theory is an excellent framework that leads to the positive outcome.
